Honestly, I don't know how to feel about a BioShock movie. Not that I hadn't heard rumblings about it for quite some time, but this is a bit more solid. It does have a really strong narrative and a very distinct iconic environment and characters.

But the problem is in the adaptation. Knowing what works in the context of a movie script structure and what doesn't. How do you handle that much of bringing Rapture to life is involved listening to audio diaries? Most of the casts of characters are dead by the time Jack reaches Rapture and only learns about them through the journals left behind. Jack himself only has one line of dialog, and a few scenes with actual living people in front of him. Do you give Jack a voice and personality? Replace the audio journals with actual scenes of the downfall of Rapture?

Like I said, big questions.

I'd like to remain cautiously optimistic because of just how strong the characters and narrative in BioShock is, but I remember back when the Silent Hill movie came out. And well, let's just say that my optimism for that film did not pay off in the long run.

Sorry for the lack of art. I've had to let my arms recover from some really bad pain. It still kind of hurts so everything ground to a halt. I'd really like to get back to it. Comics and art needs to be done.

Now I kind of want to do more BioShock paintings but I just have so much else to do.
